Too often, human trafficking is simplified to sex trafficking, thought of as only affecting young girls, or solely a “third-world” country problem. However these are all myths that we have come to accept as a society due to a lack of awareness and dialogue around human trafficking. The reality of human trafficking extends, but is not limited to child labor, the illegal and involuntary sale of human organs on the black market, and pornography. Tackling such a sensitive issue may be difficult due to the stigma that it holds, but we aim to start and continue conversations through the art that we create.
